Apartment Association of Tarrant County Board of Directors rebranded the organization in a unanimous decision
Fort Worth, Texas – In a significant move reflecting its evolving identity and future aspirations, the Apartment Association of Tarrant County (AATC) has undergone a pivotal change. The AATC Board of Directors, in a unanimous decision, has rebranded the organization to the Fort Worth Apartment Association (FWAA), effective immediately. This change not only marks a new chapter for the association but also aligns its image more closely with the Fort Worth community and brand.
The decision was made during the last meeting of 2023, presided over by President Cayce Coon, Vice-President at Madera Residential. Looking ahead, 2024 President Bryan Downer, CEO of Community Enrichment Center, along with the new board of directors, will guide the association through this significant transition.
Kevin Pellegrino, CEO of the Fort Worth Apartment Association, commented on the change, saying, “The Fort Worth Apartment Association is poised to represent a new generation of leadership in the multifamily industry that can distinguish itself by utilizing the Fort Worth name and brand to help our members take their business to the next level.” This statement encapsulates the strategic intent behind the rebranding, aiming to leverage the Fort Worth name for greater recognition and influence within the industry.
Originating in August 1967, the association was founded by a group of visionary multi-housing owners and managers. Over the past 50-plus years, AATC has seen remarkable growth, now boasting over 1,800 members. These members provide management and related services, supporting residents in over 240,000 apartment homes across a 9-county region in north-central Texas.
As the FWAA, the organization will continue to uphold the mission of its predecessor. This involves inspiring members with a commitment to award-winning educational programs, public advocacy initiatives, effective communication, and a diverse network for business exchange. Each aspect of its mission is designed to define and enhance the marketplace it serves. The Fort Worth Apartment Association stands as a beacon for the multifamily industry, ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities of the future while staying rooted in its rich history and foundational values.
