City of Fort Worth unveils digital parking finder designed to simplify downtown travel and parking

Fort Worth, Texas – The City of Fort Worth has introduced a new digital tool designed to make parking easier for residents and visitors traveling throughout downtown and nearby entertainment districts.

The Transportation and Public Works Department officially launched the FW Parking Finder known as GoFW, a web-based application that provides real-time parking information and transportation options across the city.

City officials said the new platform is designed to be simple and accessible for users on nearly any device, including smartphones, laptops, and other internet-connected devices.

Unlike many mobile applications, GoFW does not require downloads, account signups, or login information to use its services.

Officials say the goal is to help drivers quickly locate available parking before arriving at busy destinations.

Real-Time Parking and Transit Information

According to the city, GoFW allows users to view real-time parking availability across Fort Worth and surrounding business and entertainment areas.

The application provides information about on-street parking, including metered parking occupancy and availability by block.

Drivers can also check the availability of parking spaces inside selected parking garages before heading into crowded areas.

City officials believe the platform will help reduce frustration for drivers searching for parking while improving traffic flow in heavily visited districts.

Whether someone is attending an event, visiting downtown businesses, or heading to entertainment venues, officials say the system is intended to help users make parking decisions more efficiently.

The city also emphasized that the platform goes beyond standard parking information.

GoFW includes details about curbside transportation services and alternative travel options throughout Fort Worth.

Users can locate electric vehicle charging stations, on-street valet locations, taxi zones, ride-share pickup and drop-off areas, and other transportation-related services through the application.

Officials said the platform is designed to centralize multiple transportation resources into one easy-to-use tool.

In addition to parking assistance, GoFW also incorporates information from Trinity Metro.

The system provides real-time bus arrival information and transit schedules, allowing users to view public transportation options while planning trips across the city.

City leaders say the application is part of broader efforts to modernize transportation services and improve accessibility for residents and visitors navigating Fort Worth.

Officials hope the tool will encourage smoother travel experiences while giving people more flexibility in choosing how they move throughout the city.

By combining parking data, curbside information, and public transportation schedules into one platform, the city believes GoFW can help reduce confusion and improve convenience for people visiting some of Fort Worth’s busiest destinations.
